Ingredients
- 1 box (14.1 oz) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- Press the sugar cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the sugar cookie dough base.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan before frosting.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the vanilla glaze evenly over the cooled bars. Let the glaze set before cutting into squares.
- Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bars out of the pan and cut into 12 squares. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar in the cinnamon mixture. Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar for extra warmth.
